The Beginning

The store for those who are smaller in Stature

The concept for Petite Frames was derived out of frustration, yes frustration. I was frustrated that I could hardly find things to fit me correctly (without having alterations). Smalls were always too large for me and extra small was impossible to find in my island Jamaica. Another issue I faced was that of finding the correct lengths. Dresses and skirts proved way too long due to my petite 4 ft 9 inches frame. Another frustrating factor was my shoe size. I am a  US size 5 and UK size 3 so finding shoes in my island proved problematic. I realized that small sizes were usually stored in very limited numbers and they are usually the first to go out of stock.  Hence the concept and the name was developed.

I began sourcing my own unique pieces that would fit me perfectly with little or no alterations needed. It then dawned on me that there is a niche market, as there are others faced with the same problems. Petite Frames began in September of 2013. We source unique accessories, clothes and shoes for both males and females who are smaller in stature and have a unique sense of fashion. Why follow the crowd when we can stand out?
